Hey there! So I am kinda refocused and ready to talk about what has been going down the past few weeks.
First of all, Sportsmans Warehouse is closing it's doors. In reality, the owner had no business opening up his two new stores in Las Vegas. Jeff worked at the one that opened in November. He will be out of work by early May. It was a huge blow at first. And lets be clear, it was a hoot being middle class for a few months. We will be golden though. He has already had a few offers at other places and we have his business to fall back on. Granted it may not be as much money as he is making now but we are survivors.
Second, I turned 39 on the 26th of March. to say that my birthday was fabulous would be an understatement. Last year was well, very bad. This year was full of love and happiness. A part of that was Zappos.com and and part of it was my brother and his family in town. I will get to that in a second. Lets talk about Zappos. My department decorated my desk, hired the Zappetts to sing to me, took me out for sushi, and just made me feel really loved. Here is video.
I got some amazing gifts. But the best gift of all was that my brother, Julia and baby Jordan were in town from New York.
It was the first time I got to hold the baby. It was everything I could have asked for and more. The girls loved their little cousin and he loved them. We had some professional pics made up and we had a really groovy time. Here are some of the pictures from the week.
Thank you for your patience.
