Alyssa and Emma had a blast in Oatman. Alyssa took these pix with her cell phone.

I hope the girls are having a great week. I often worry that I take them to too many places and they would get jaded. I want them to remember a happy childhood. I want them to have traditions. I want them to talk about that every Spring they went to see their cousins in Texas and every Winter the went to Laguna Beach. I just want them to be happy despite a crazy, stressed out wacked out mother and a father that worked all the time so they can do these things.

So busy. SO tired. Jeff left for another business trip yesterday. And you know how tense it makes me. He is in Reno for the Safari International Convention. Hopefully he can make some good contacts for the biz while he is there. So, if you have been a reader of mine for any amount of time, you know I go nuts when he is gone and try to be mother of the year. I try and fill the days with activities for the kids. I do this to keep them from missing their dad but also so I don't have to come up with any new conversations with them. We usually run out of things to say by day two. They get bored with me and we all grow grumpy.
Friday we went to the Hannah Montana concert.
Saturday we went to Disney's Princess on Ice show
Sunday (today) We went to Valley of Fire which is a Nevada State park about an hour from Vegas. We went to meet Nicole and Eric and the boys who are camping there for the weekend. We had a friggin blast. LOOK AT PICTURES!!
We had fun and it was really pretty there. Tomorrow the girls go to Oatman, AZ with their youth group. They will be gone all day and I will be home twirling.

No, It was the Hannah Montana concert and it was just as loud as filled with screaming girls. No, it was louder. It was way cute. Although I didn't like how the Miley alter ego danced and girated with her guitar players. But that was me. It was a way cute show and something for everyone.
Something for Emma
Something for Alyssa
And something for Mama

Where has the time gone. I haven't posted since the 9th? We have just been uhhh living, I guess.
Jeff's grandfather passed away.
He was a very sweet man and according to Jeff, always very nice to him. Here is an amazing video put together by the funeral home. It is a beautiful picture show.
Alyssa had to make a tornado for class and here is a short little snippet of it.

We watched Hairspray last night and LOVED it!!! We are all big on musicals in this house and we thought it was way cute. One of our favorites is Grease and when I told Alyssa that Edna was the same guy who played Danny she didn't believe me.
Alyssa had her D.A.R.E graduation yesterday. It is a pretty big deal here. The 5th graders make a pledge to stay off drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes for the rest of their lives and make a commitment to help others. It was pretty impressive. I was really proud of her but she really needs to stop harrassing her daddy about smoking and stop leaving websites that he can go to for help in his hat. He has no choice but to smoke crouched behind his car tires now because he doesn't want the children yelling at him. I want him to quit too but I have to because for the crappy mood that follows for a few weeks after.
Two of the four fifth grade classes at the graduation and the police officer that made it all happen.
Alyssa getting her certificate.
Alyssa's class cheering.
Emma just gave Alyssa flowers.

I have worked pretty hard on Jeff's site. PLEASE forward it to all of your friends. Especially your friends that like to hunt and collect guns. We will be updating his trials page with the testing of new hunting products. So bookmark that puppy and check back if you are into that kind of thing. Thank you.
