How boring

I am trying to stay positive at work. I still love my job; I just don’t love what has been going on. Morale is low.

We leave for Texas in 7 days!! That has gotten me pretty excited. I just want to get there. I want to be with Jeff’s family and chill out on the land because I haven’t “chilled” in a very long time.

My parents come home on Monday.

I really don’t have anything new to talk about. I am just going through the motions of everyday life.

I am really into Idol this year, not as much as my closeted husband but I am enjoying it.

I am also totally into Top Design on Bravo but I don’t know anyone else that is.

Top Model starts again on Wednesday I am totally stoked about that. It will conflict with Idol but my allegiance is to Model.

I need to look into Tivo.

This is a boring post. Please destroy it after you read it.

It seems as though a lot of my favorite bloggers don’t update as much as they used to. That bums me out but then again all three of my loyal readers rarely get a update more than once a week either.

40 is the new 39

Happy birthday to my brother. He is now 40 Wowsers!

I hope you have a great one. I wanted to send you legos but I knew there would be no time in your busy schedule to play with them. Besides Freddy would swallow them and you would never forgive me since the relationship you have with that cat is well, not normal.

Through my work I got comps to see the Harlem Globetrotters. These were not the same guys that I saw on Gilligans Island or Scooby Doo but I guess the spirit was there. It could have used a little Meadowlark Lemon and a twist of Curly but we had a lot of fun. They were playng Dennis Rodman and his Bad Boys. That was exciting enough! I was waiting for Dennis Rodman to get really angry at one of the globetrotters and punch him but it never happened. Pics on left.

Crap, Crap, Crap. My boss quit yesterday. I have had 356 jobs* since I started working in 1986 and this is the first one I really truly loved. It was because of this man. He made work fun. Now everybody is sad and tense. I hope that the new person that will eventually come in to replace him understands that I am more than an assistant.

On a lighter note, Happy Valentines Day. Where my heart is so full of love, I have to loosen my bra.

Mommy and Daddy are flying to New York and Del Boca Vista today to be with my brother on his 40th birthday and see friends in Florida.

I will NEVER EVER do this again.

There are many things I will never ever do again. Having a birthday party at my house for my kids is one of them. Emma wanted a sleep over for her 6th birthday. H - E double hockey sticks no. So I told her she could have a semi sleep over. A pajama party where her friends come in their jammies and stay a few hours. A few. That is where I screwed up. Abbe said parties usually last no more than two, I chose three. Three house with nutty 6 year olds. I told the parents to go because I didnt want to entertain them too. There were no objections. Three hours by themselves???

I had the party timed out perfectly. At 6 the guests arrive. At 6:30 we eat. At 7, crafts, at 7:30 face painting. 8, dance contest, 8:30 cake and sundaes. 9 get the heck out of my house.

They were very loud. Little girls like to screech and yell. Little girls apparently like to body slam other girls. Abbe started the lawsuit chart on the chalk board pantry. Every time a kid cried, fell, pushed, shoved, choked, or tripped, Allie and Abbe got the chalk out. We figured it was the amount of parents that will eventually sue us because their kid biffed it at my house or the fact that when we did the dance contest, "push it" by Salt and Pepa came on the the chicks were groovin to it. By the end of the night there were 17 marks.

I have a new respect for Emma's kindergarten teacher. These kids are nuts. One in particular was ADD, psycho, crazy. Funny enough, her mommy was last to pick her up so we figured her mommy knew she was nutty too. I have never seen Jeff want to punch a little girl so hard before.

Then there was the little girl who would not give up her gift for Emma. The "puppy." She wouldn't put it by the other gifts and wouldn't let Emma hold it. We finally had to put it away.

Also the one girl that had the cooter itch. She was digging away all night. That was unpleasant. I am assuming for her as well as those around her.

One little girl told me that her mommy was "out on the town" and she was going to have to sleep over in Emma's bed.

Never, ever again. We invited 15 little girls and all 15 showed up. 15. I must be on crack. An hour and 20 minutes into the party I couldn't find Jeff. He turned up upstairs in the bedroom spooning with the cat. I cursed him out so bad he had tears in his eyes.

I couldn't have done it without Abbe and Allie. The teacher in them held the party together for me. The also maintained crowd control along with the countdown until the final hour.

I am way too old for this.  Pictures with captions are on the left. Feel free to comment. Double click the first picture and use the arrows to go through them.

You can fit three Sandy Duncan's in one me

Sandy Duncan came to the station today to promote a play she is in. My camera phone makes me look like a house. I am much cuter in person. She is very tiny and very nice. What wise words did I say to her?? "I loved you in the Cat From Outer Space." I am something short of an idiot. A big large house idiot. I bet she never says stupid things the the celebs she meets.

Last Friday I went for Chinese food. In my fortune cookie my fortune read, "A pleasant surpirise will happen this week." Assuming it was Sandy, I gave the fortune to my boss. I am not even sure if fortunes are transferable.  Emma wants to know why her fortunes always say "You will be a good girl and you will clean your room." When that kid starts to read she is going to be way mad at me.

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for Emma's birthday. Pictures are to the left.

6 years ago you flew through my loins so quickly you left skid marks.

You are our little baby, our comedian, our Diane Sawyer, our little twinkle toes, our poo butt, our amazing little free spirit. and most of all, our little piece of the puzzle that was missing.

We love you so much. Happy birthday, Emma!

I have so much to tell you….. you, my BFF’s of the internet. But I need pictures to explain and that would mean I would have to take my camera out of my purse and upload them into my computer and who has time for that?

We have been very busy. Next week we are prepping for the Pajama extravaganza that will be called Emma’s 6th birthday party. This is how I know I am a whacko. I invited 14 girls and I stress about all of them showing up. After I only get 3 RSVP’s I stress that no one will show up. I am NUT – TEEEE!!

Emma is excited though.
